    Followed the bus lane alignment in front of the parking and identified a kerb edge that needed a tapered transition for bus turning; measurements were taken for the modification.

    Followed interlock compaction and the sweeping of dry sand into the joints, foundation preparation, formwork, reinforcement and concrete casting, and the pre-handover inspection of alignment and finish quality.

Project context

Parking 12 is one of the parking packages inside the Qiddiya Speed Park construction environment. During the training period the package moved from interlock and foundation execution through landscaping, signage and markings toward pre-handover finishing.

Works in front of the package in late August included a pedestrian walkway pour and preparation of the adjacent bus lane.

COOP trainee supporting the site team: following crews, checking executed work against the drawings and reporting observations.

Near handover, assigned responsibility for the final finishing works and coordinated a field crew of six workers with one Bobcat and one JCB. This was crew-level coordination within the site team's plan, not management of the package.

Observations from site

  • The finished interlock level is set before the CLSM pour: surveyors install level stakes so the CLSM reaches the elevations on the approved drawings.
